Instruction

LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Birmingham, in partnership with the Ladies Birmingham Golf Association and Lady Legacy Scholarship Foundation, is a two-part program incorporating Instruction and Competition.

Lead instructor for the program is Neil Thompson, Director of Instruction, Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Academy of Golf. He will be assisted by Brooke Valente, former director of the youth golf program at Greystone Golf Club. There will be approximately 14 clinics on Monday afternoons from March through June, held at the Oxmoor Valley Academy of Golf. In March, April and May there will be two clinics each afternoon, 5:00-6:00 for advanced girls, and 6:00-7:00 for beginning and intermediate players. In June there will be two clinics each afternoon, 4:00-5:00 for begining and intermediate players and  from 5:00-6:00 for advanced girls. The curriculum will provide instruction in the basic elements of the game, including etiquette and rules. The first clinic will be March 22, beginning at 5:00 at the Oxmoor Valley Academy of Golf.
