How can you contribute to the success of our EWGA Chapter? It’s very easy, volunteer to serve on one of our committees. We are a group of diverse, talented, creative and fun-loving women who are looking forward to welcoming you to the team of volunteers that help make our Chapter the success it is! Membership Committee
Promote membership by recruiting new members and retaining current members
Vicki Changet
League Play Committee
Support and assist the League Chair with organizing all leagues.

Golf Events Committee
Investigate, organize and plan golf outings
Barbara Shaw
Social Events Committee
Coordinate, plan and run all social and networking events,
including kickoff and end of year events.

Golf Education and Player Development Committee
Arrange clinics given by local PGA golf professionals.
Develop educational and mentoring programs.

Sponsorship Committee
Secure chapter sponsors and fulfill sponsorship obligations.

Communications Committee
Communicate to membership through various means: newsletter/website.
Issue press releases.

Assist membership in obtaining USGA Handicap through the EWGA handicap system.

Do you have experience with newsletter composition/editing or are you interested in writing some short articles for our Birmingham Chapter of EWGA? Our Communications Chair, Carol White, is looking for an editor and/or contributing writers to help with the monthly newsletter.

Photography
Volunteers are needed to take photos at EWGA Birmingham events throughout the year. Volunteers need to have access to a digital camera to participate in this volunteer position. |
LPGA - USGA Girls Golf
A group providing the opportunity for girls, ages 7-17, to learn to play golf. Volunteers are needed to assist with clinics for the girls every Monday at 5:30 at Eagle Point from March through the end of June. Contact Barbara Shaw for more information. |
Regions Charity Classic
The Regions Charity Classic will be held May 13-17, 2009, at the RTJ Golf Trail at Ross Bridge in Hoover, AL.
Volunteers are needed to help Marshal the EWGA holes. As a marshal you will help to ensure players are not disturbed during play; enforce crowd control and golf etiquette among spectators along the course.

Navistar LPGA Classic
The Navistar LPGA Classic will be held on September 28- October 4, 2009, at the RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill in Pratville, AL.
Volunteers are needed to help Marshal the EWGA hole. As a marshal you will help to ensure players are not disturbed during play; enforce crowd control and golf etiquette among spectators along the course.
