for business and for life.
Food, Rules, Etiquette, Food, Rules, Drinks
Sept 17th, 6:00om at Eagle Point Golf Club
This is absolutely the best way to learn more about basic rules and etiquette. No golf
clubs, just walking the course with a Pro, asking questions and getting answers. Each
participant will receive a copy of “Rules Made Simple” published by the USGA. Plan to
attend on Wednesday, September 17th, 6:00 pm, Eagle Point Golf Club. After our walk and
talk we will have dinner in the Point Room at Eagle Point. The cost will be $15.00 per
person and there will be a cash bar available.
The Navistar LPGA Classic will be held September 22 - 28 at the RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol
Hill in Prattville, Alabama. The Birmingham Chapter will again be providing marshals for
the 9th hole. Marshals keep the crowd quiet and orderly while the golfers are playing.
The cost to volunteer for the Navistar is only $60. This includes a blue Nike Dri-Fit shirt,
a cap or visor, a volunteer badge that gets you into the tournament every day, five good
any day tickets to give to friends and family, lunch on the days you work, and, if you
work three shifts, a voucher good for a round of golf at Capitol Hill.
Volunteers are needed for two shifts on Thursday and Friday, approximately 8:30-1:45 and
1:30-6:45, and for a single shift on Saturday and Sunday, approximately 8:30-2:00. If you
are interested, please go to the Navistar website,
www.navistarlpgaclassic.com,
and click on "Volunteer". There you will find a description of all the committees, a
picture of the shirt, and at the bottom a link to the volunteer application. List "Marshal"
as your first committee choice, and anything else for the second and third choices,
and put "EWGA" where it asks for your affiliation. If you have any questions, please
contact Barbara Shaw,
bashaw1@mindspring.com or 664-0959.
